Aniversario del último concierto de los BEATLES
El 30 de enero de 1969 Los Beatles ofrecen su último concierto. El evento tiene lugar en Londres, en la azotea del edificio donde Apple tenía sus oficinas. En los cuarenta minutos de actuación, al cuarteto le acompaña Billy Preston. La policía intenta parar el inesperado show, ante la avalancha de curiosos que circunda el edificio y que ha interrumpido el tráfico en el barrio. El grupo comenzó con ‘Get back’ y cerró con una versión de la misma canción, ahora sí, abortada con éxito por la policía. Fue la última vez que se pudo ver juntos, tocando en directo, a John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison y Ringo Starr.

Pavement - Peel Session
Mi hermano me regaló por Navidad el libro Bonnie Prince Billy por Will Oldham. Y es de esos libros que mola leerlo escuchando música. Como te facilita mil recomendaciones o referencias musicales, lo suyo es ir escuchando los temas y grupos a los que hace referencia Bonnie Prince Billy. Y en esa confluencia entre literatura y música es donde encuentro un mayor placer. A lo que iba una de las recomendaciones del libro es la sesión que grabaron en Pavement en 1997 para las Peel Sessions en la BBC. Aquí lo podéis escuchar
