NO ONE knows who wrote House of the Rising Sun.
No, it wasn't the animals nor bob dylan.
It's much older than that.
The Animals version is considered definitive and I myself consider it to be the best.

Pink Floyd did not cover it. Thats a Floyd cover band called Frijid Pink.
